ICC East Asia Pacific Update

PNG’s Road to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, India 2021

Papua New Guinea’s (PNG) men’s team have been preparing for their appearance at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, to be played in India 2021.  PNG originally qualified to play in the same event hosted in Australia in 2020, but with the the global pandemic forcing a postponement, this saw PNG gain qualification for the event in India.

Lead by coach, Joe Dawes, and captain, Assadollah Vala, the team have been using the additional time to follow a strong training regime which will see them primed to take on the competition at the men’s team first ever World Cup appearance.
