Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship Concludes in Brisbane

The Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship wrapped up in thrilling fashion at Brisbane’s Ballymore Stadium.

A total of 66 matches (35 men’s and 31 women’s matches) were played across three days of competition from 10-12 November.

The New Zealand Men’s 7s won 24 v 19 over Manu Samoa in the Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship Final. Samoa had a convincing win in the Olympic qualifying final, making history as they secured their place for the first time ahead of Paris 2024.

Australia Women’s 7s came up against a strong NZ side with another close matchup, earning the title of 2023 Oceania Rugby Sevens Women’s Champions.

Fijiana 7s also qualified and are heading to the 2024 Paris Olympics after an outstanding win against the PNG girls at the Oceania Rugby Sevens Olympic qualifying finals.
