On Monday 2 May, the Oceania Gymnastics Union (OGU) delivered their first Beginner Coaching Course in Nadi, Fiji.
The course was well attended, with 16 coaches present representing five different clubs. The coaches learnt about the fundamentals of gymnastics and the skills required to be a coach. The coaches particularly enjoyed learning about how to break down and teach different gymnastics skills. Coaches were provided a range of equipment to assist their club in developing gymnastics.
The OGU looks forward to running the Beginner Coaching Course in all Member Federations during late 2022 and early 2023.
The newly qualified coaches will have the opportunity to complete a Level 1 course in Aerobic Gymnastics, Gymnastics for All and/or Parkour during 2023.
