Amanda Jenkins was appointed as the Executive Director of Oceania in February 2022, following eight years of rising through FIBA’s ranks in the Oceania Regional Office. Amanda is the first ever female Zone Director to be appointed within FIBA.

She has worked across many facets of the business whilst at FIBA, but has most notably managed numerous events throughout the Oceania region, including guiding the region through the new competition structure from 2017.

Before completing her MBA at Deakin University in 2023, Amanda undertook her Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Management at Royal Holloway University, England and graduated from the Women Lead Sports program conducted through ASOIF in 2021.  She is passionate about continuing the growth and development of the Oceania region across the FIBA strategic pillars.

"I love working with and for the people in Oceania and across the global FIBA family. I am excited by this new opportunity to lead and to continue on with the fantastic work that we do here in this region. I was raised around a basketball court, so to be now leading one of the five zones of FIBA is truly an honour."
