Badminton Oceania March 2024 Update

What a great week of badminton we had in Geelong which included a Shuttle Time Trainers and Tutors Course, a Pacific u17 training camp, the VICTOR Oceania Individual Championships, the VICTOR Men’s & Women’s Team Championships and the u17 Pacific Invitation Team Challenge.  Geelong Badminton were fantastic hosts, I am very appreciative to Peter, Naman and their team for the work they did to make our visit to Geelong such a positive experience.  To the Coaches, Manager, Technical Officials, Volunteers – thank you so much for your contribution to the success of the week.

It was fantastic to see the largest ever contingent of players from the region play in the Para Badminton World Championships in Thailand; we all now wait to find out who had qualified for the Paris Paralympic Games in August.

I am also keenly following the results of the Australian players at the World Tour tournaments as they chase their dream of qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in July/August.

Keep up to date with all that is happening on a daily basis through our Facebook page.
