ITTF-Oceania CEO Scott Houston commented, “We’re very pleased to announce our 2025 event calendar so far in advance. We know that our Member Associations need plenty of time to organise their players and finances to attend our events and we hope this will result in increased participation next year.
“2025 is a big year for our Pacific Member Associations with the Pacific Mini Games being held in Palau. We have strategically placed our ITTF-Oceania Championships events immediately prior to provide the ideal preparation. We have also placed both our Senior Championships and Youth Championships in Christchurch in consecutive weeks to help our Member Associations minimise their costs and maximise participation opportunities.
“We’re pleased to see our Para Championships come to New Zealand and we appreciate the outstanding effort made by Table Tennis New Zealand to bid for and be awarded the event. Moreover, we’re excited to bring the Oceania Cup to LOOPS Table Tennis in Melbourne, which is an ideal venue for an event of this nature.
“Finally, I would like to acknowledge the support of ITTF to help finalise our event calendar. ITTF were aware of our needs and supportive of our wishes, which is a sign of a healthy working relationship and is much appreciated.”
Overall, 2025 is set to be a big year for events in Oceania and we look forward to working with all Member Associations to ensure their success.
