Oceania Fencing Confederation update

Since the conclusion of the Tokyo Olympic Games, the Oceania Fencing Confederation (OFC) has returned to business as usual as they prepare to navigate a new but shortened cycle. This has involved reaching out to the member countries and beginning to formulate plans together for the further development of fencing in the Pacific in the post-pandemic world.

With a return to competition in Australia and New Zealand, the OFC is proposing to hold the Oceania Veteran Championships in Melbourne, Australia, from December 11 to 15, 2021.  This is of course contingent on all Oceania members being able to travel and compete. The OFC also plans to have a full program of championships in 2022.

The OFC is also planning to extend its online coach education program by partnering with a global coaching organisation which can provide content, resources and assistance with a pathway towards international recognition of successful coaching candidates.
