Teaming Up on International Day of Sport for Development and Peace

Team Up, the Australian Government’s sport for development program in the Pacific, embraced the 2021 theme of International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, ‘Behind each #WhiteCard there is a story’, by producing a video featuring three Team Up programs and the stories of people who work for them.

The video features staff from the Healthy Nanas and Disability Cricket program in Samoa, the Just Play Plus program in Fiji, and the League for Life program in Tonga, and their stories about how sport is transforming lives.  Content for the video was captured by Tapai Talaifono from Samoa International Cricket Association, Lavenia Yalovi from Fiji Football Association, Joe Kafatolu from NRL Tonga and Valda Hoerder-Howard from Team Up.
